A prospective study to analyse functional outcome of intraarticular autologous platelet rich plasma (PRP) in management of osteoarthritis of knee joint

Knee osteoarthritis (OA) is a usual problem in the elderly population, which treated with lifestyle modifications, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, physiotherapy, and intraarticular injections of corticosteroids/hyaluronic acid/autologous platelet-rich plasma (PRP) early stages, late surgical procedures, such as arthroscopic debridement, unicompartmental arthroplasty, patellofemoral total knee replacement, are performed. Gradually, there an increasing trend use autologous PRP for treatment Kellgren Lawrence grade 1 2 OA.
